Badaling Great Wall: Running over 6,700 kilometers, the Great Wall used to be ancient defense works which starts from Shanhaiguan Pass in Hebei Province and ends at Jiayuguan Pass in Gansu Province. Most of the Great Wall we see today was built in Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). The best-preserved section is at Badaling in Beijing.
Tian'anmen Square: The square is located in the center of Beijing, it covers an area of 44 hectares, 500 meters wide from east to west, and 880 meters long from north to south. The Chairman Mao Memorial Hall sits in the south of the square. The Forbidden City's outer entrance, the Tiananmen Gate (the Gate of Heavenly Peace) stands at the north end of the square.
Forbidden City: Built between 1406 and 1420, the Forbidden City was the palace of the emperors of the dynasties of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911), a period extending over 500 years.
