Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival In Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, our tour guide will meet you at Beijing airport or railway station. After claiming your luggage, you will easily find our guide holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Be transferred to your hotel.
Day 02 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Full day sightseeing tour of the Forbidden City (Imperial Palace), the Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner. Optional program in the evening: Peking Opera, Kungfu Show or Chinese Acrobatics.

Forbidden City: Also known as the Imperial Palace or the Palace Museum. It is the most visited attraction for any Beijing tour. The construction of Forbidden City took 14 years and was finished in 1420. In the following years, 24 emperors, 14 in the Ming Dynast and 10 in the Qing Dynasty lived in the palace. It is the biggest and best-preserved cluster of ancient buildings in China; and it covers 720,000 square meters with 800 buildings and 9,000 rooms in total.
Tian'anmen Square: With a length of 880m and a width of 500m, it used to be the forecourt of the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Tiananmen Square holds the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, the National Museum of China, the Great Hall of the People, and the Monument of the National Heroes. To the north of the square is the Forbidden City and to the south the Temple of Heaven.
Summer Palace: The biggest and the best-preserved imperial garden in China. It covers a total area of 290 hectares. UNESCO added this site to the World Heritage List in 1998. There is a very large lake named Kunming Lake in Summer Palace. In summer, visitors can take a cruise by a boat on the lake, and in the winter they can skate across its frozen expanse. The highly attractive 17 Arch Bridge links the lake's eastern shore to South Lake Island. The Summer Palace is an icon of classical Chinese architecture in terms of both garden design and construction.
Day 03 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Travel to the Mutianyu Great Wall and the Ming Tombs. See the appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) at a distance.

Mutianyu Great Wall: Located 73 km north of central Beijing, it is approx a 1.5 hours drive from the city. It was first built in Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577), and was restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). This section of the Great Wall is less crowded than the nearby Badaling or Juyongguan sections. Mutianyu's 2.5 kilometer stretch of the Wall allows you to walk for more than 1 hour as you explore 23 original-style watchtowers.
Ming Tombs: Located about 50 kilometers to the north of Beijing, they are mausoleums of thirteen Emperors of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) with 500-year history. The Ming Tombs cover a total area of 120K square kilometers and were listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2003.

Day 04 Beijing - Chengde (Breakfast + Lunch)
Sight-seeing tour to the Temple of Heaven and Yonghegong Lama Temple. Transfer to the railway station and take train to Chengde. Our guide will escort you to the train carriage. Arrive Chengde 4 hours later. Our Chengde local guide will meet you at the station. Be transferred to your hotel in Chengde.

Temple of Heaven: It is a circular construction, the 38-metre-high Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests which is topped by a triple-eaved roof. No beams or purlins were used in the construction of the hall. Instead, the whole structure is supported by wooden mortise and tenon joints and wooden brackets on huge pillars. Another impressive structure in the Temple of Heaven is the Imperial Vault of Heaven with glazed colour tiles. Leading to the entrance of the Imperial Vault of Heaven are the Three Echo Stones . Surrounding the structure is the Echo Wall where visitors can stand and hear their whispers echo long distances along the wall.
Yonghegong Lama Temple: The only temple in Beijing to have its own subway stop, also called Yonghe Lamasery, or Yonghe Gong, is the most handsome and impressive Buddhist temple in the city. The Lama Temple was originally the residence of prince Yongzheng, who later became Emperor. His mansion was converted into a temple in 1744 after he ascended the throne. One of the most prominent features of the temple is a huge, 23-meter-tall Maitreya Buddha, which was carved from the trunk of a white sandalwood tree.

Day 05 Chengde (Breakfast + Lunch)
Explore the Imperial Mountain Resort and Pule Temple.

Imperial Mountain Resort: Covering an area of 5.64 million square meters, the resort was built between 1703 and 1792 during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) for emperors to escape the summer heat in the capital city of Beijing. Inside the resort, there are palaces, temples, pagodas, lakes, mountains, valleys, pasturelands and flourishing trees.
Pule Temple: Following the advice of a Tibetan Living Buddha, Emperor Qianlong (1711-1799) of Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) built the temple in 1766. The temple houses exquisite sculptures of various Buddha, a drum tower, a clock tower and a hall to give Buddhist scripture. The temple covers an area of 24,000 square meters and looks magnificent and grander.
Day 06 Chengde - Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)
Start the tour from the Putuo Zongcheng Temple, then visit the Puning Temple. After lunch, you will be transferred to Chengde station and take train to Beijing. Arrive Beijing, be met and transferred to your hotel or the airport, end of service.

Putuo Zongcheng Temple: Built between 1767 and 1771, the temple was modeled after the Potala Palace of Tibet. It covers an area of 220,000 square meters, with a combination of Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles. The roofs of the halls and pavilions are covered with the copper gold tiles, adding to the splendor of the site.
Puning Temple: It was built in 1755 during the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1735-1796) of the Qing Dynasty. The temple has a 22.28-meter-high Bodhisattva statue with 42 arms holding different types of musical instruments. Puning Temple was given the status of World Cultural Heritage Site in 1994 by UNESCO.
