Visit the Imperial Palace
(Forbidden City), the Tiananmen Square and the Summer

City: Built between 1406 and 1420, the Forbidden
City was the palace of the emperors of the dynasties
of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911), a period
extending over 500 years. The Imperial Palace covers
an area of 183 acres. It was burnt down, rebuilt,
and renovated many times, so most of the architectures
date from the 1700's and on wards.
Square: The square is located in the center
of Beijing, it covers an area of 44 hectares, 500
meters wide from east to west, and 880 meters long
from north to south. The Chairman Mao Memorial Hall
sits in the south of the square. The Forbidden City's
outer entrance, the Tiananmen Gate (the Gate of
Heavenly Peace) stands at the north end of the square.
Palace: Covering an area of 2.9 square kilometres,
it is the largest and most well-preserved royal
garden in China. There are more than 3,000 ancient
structures in the Summer Palace, including temples,
pavilions, bridges, halls, towers, corridors, etc.

Lama Temple: The only temple in Beijing to
have its own subway stop, also called Yonghe Lamasery,
or Yonghe Gong, is the most handsome and impressive
Buddhist temple in the city. The Lama Temple was
originally the residence of prince Yongzheng,
who later became Emperor. His mansion was converted
into a temple in 1744 after he ascended the throne.
One of the most prominent features of the temple
is a huge, 23-meter-tall Maitreya Buddha, which
was carved from the trunk of a white sandalwood

and Research Centre. After lunch, explore the Kuanzhai
Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research
Centre: Started with 6 giant pandas that were
rescued from the wild, it is a breeding facility
for pandas and other rare animals. The research
base covers an area of 92 acres; pandas, black-necked
cranes, white storks and over 20 species of rare
animals are fed and bred there throughout the year.
Three parallelly arranged traditional streets and
courtyard houses in Chengdu. It is an only area
which recorded rich architectural and social characteristic
feature about the residential building from Qing
Dynasty (1644-1911) till now.

Visit the Sanxingdui Relics
Museum. Be transferred
to the airport for your flight to Chongqing. Chongqing
Airport to Cruise pier transfer, After dinner, board
the ship (from 5:00pm to 8:00pm) and departs Chongqing
at 10:00pm (overnight on board).
Sanxingdui Relics Museum:
Located 40km north from Chengdu, Sanxingdui Museum
is renown for its more than 4,000 relics unearthed
in 1929 from Sanxingdui Archeological Site that
was the ancient capital of Shu State 3000-5000 years
ago. Totally, there are over 1000 pieces of cultural
relics on display, including bronze ware, gold plate,
jade articles, pottery and ivory.

Cruise on the Yangtze River.
Arrive Fengdu in the morning. Shore excursion to
Fengdu Ghost City (08h00-10h00). Fengdu is famous
for its ghost culture. First take a cable car up
to the hill and visit the temples all over the mountain
with many statues. Then, return to the ship and
move towards the fantastic Three Gorges.

Continiue cruising on Yangtze
River, passing through the Qutang Gorge. Shore excursion
to Lesser Three Gorges or Shennong Stream. Reboard
the ship and sail through the beautiful Wu Gorge.

longest and the most dangerous of the Three Gorges.
Shore excursion to the massive Three Gorges Dam
at Sandouping Village. After lunch on board, You
will arrive in Yichang.
Transfer to the airport in Yichang for your flight
back to Shanghai. Be met by our tour guide and transfered
to your downtown hotel in Shanghai.
Tour to YuYuan Garden, explore
Shanghai old town around the City God Temple. Have
a walk along the Bund and Nanjing Road.
Garden: A classical garden located in Anren
Street, near to the Bund. The garden is typical
of the gardening art south of the Yangtze River.
The gardens are purposefully designed to distort
space and distance. The garden was primarily built
in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) by Mr. Pan, a local
Temple: A Taoist Temple located in Huangpu area
near the Yuyuan Market. The original temple, constructed
in Ming Dynasty. The City God Temple is surrounded
by the traditional commercial district. There are
more than one hundred shops in the area and most
buildings of these shops are over 100 years old.
Bund: It is in fact a waterfront area in Shanghai.
A spacious walkway for sightseeing runs atop a 771-metre
long retaining wall on the Bund, paved with colorful
tiles and dotted with flower beds and lighting.
It is a good place for a leisurely stroll and a
view of the Huangpu River. The Bund is very impressive
at night, as the floodlights of the grand buildings
on the Bund are shining together, making the buildings
look like huge crystal palaces.
