Beijing Planetarium
Beijing
Planetarium (West Hall) is located in the Haidian District,
Beijing Xi Zhi Men Wai Street, south side.
Hall A: Beijing Planetarium old museum was founded in 1955,
opened in 1957. The total construction area of ??about 7,000
square meters, open facilities Theatre; Hall; film lecture
hall and public observatory. Theatre seats 600 inside seats,
central hall placed a large planetarium made it one week from
the ring wall, dozens of special effects projectors placed
together form a complete system planetarium show. Daily (except
closed outside) 4-5 show the Ministry of Sky tour programs.
Hall held year round exhibition and display of astronomical
knowledge. Television Hall of astronomical knowledge in the
past often hold lectures and special reports or shown in astronomical
science and education films, due to the construction of new
building has been temporarily used books Reading Room and
the new museum equipment storage room. Observatory of the
original two people: one for the solar chromosphere Observatory,
and the other for the public Optical Astronomy Observatory.
Observatory, respectively, each with a two solar photosphere
chromosphere and 130-mm telescope refraction telescope. Mainly
for the audience to the sun, Beijing
Tour moon, planets, comets and nebulae light astronomical
observation and teaching practice. Observatory solar chromosphere
has been removed, solar chromosphere telescope will be the
introduction of new building replaced by solar observation
device.
Hall B: Beijing Planetarium at the end of
2001 the new museum on the site under construction in the
planetarium, with a total building size of 20,000 square meters,
completed in December 2004 opening. Major public open facilities:
digital universe theater, Beijing
Tours 3D dynamic astronomy demonstration theater, 4D dynamic
theater, astronomy hall, solar observatory, public observatory,
astronomy classrooms. Universe Theater, seating capacity of
200 seats. Introduction of foreign advanced digital astronomical
projection equipment, from large graphics workstations and
laser projection equipment components, can vividly picture
and interpretation of the magnificent Star feat of human space
exploration.
3D and 4D dynamic astronomical theater,
with a capacity of 48 seats, respectively, and 196 seats seats.
This demo features two theater theater universe is a complement
and extension functions. Its strong dynamic, audio-visual
special effects for the audience to create a synthetic strong
presence, shocking atmosphere. Sun showrooms, exhibition area
of ??300 m to display the contents of the sun and the solar
system-based. Show items from the main contents of vacuum
solar telescope to receive from the 1.8 m white projector
like the sun; 174 mm full-hand side describes the sunspot
white projector like; projector like the solar spectrum; the
sun white, full-day solar chromosphere and solar surface activity
of local area of ??the CCD TV images and so on.
Two new museum exhibition on July 6, 2006
the official opening, the exhibition is divided into 15 exhibition.
Public observatory, built a diameter of 40 cm optical telescope
folded trans. Beijing
Day Tour Used and to satisfy the audience, young students
on astronomical observations and teaching practice needs.
Observatory
Beijing Planetarium has three astronomical observatories.
Have observed both on the task of opening up the audience.
New building completed in 2004, has two
buildings at the top of the Observatory, a solar observatory
is to install solar vacuum telescope for viewing the sun during
the day on the outbreak of the chromosphere, on bait, filaments,
plages diurnal surface activity. The other is the public observatory,
built a 400 mm diameter optical telescope folded trans. Observatory
is mainly used for public observing night. Used and to satisfy
the audience, young students on astronomical observations
and practice teaching requirements. Built west of the Observatory
refractor with a 130 mm. From 1957 to now, systematic observations
of sunspots using its accumulated continuous observations.
Mainly for the audience and the young students of the sun,
moon, planets, comets, and the bright nebula of astronomical
observation and teaching practice.
